The easiest and most foolproof way is to put in google maps ‘HOTEL WINDSOR, EAST MELBOURNE’. Once here you simply walk across the road. If you just near the ADAM LINDSAY GORDON statue, where there is a bus bay where our buses can park. This is technically 74 SPRING STREET, EAST MELBOURNE’. This is essentially PARLIAMENT TRAIN STATION. Below is a photo of it
There is a cafe here called Cafe Excello, where you can get a coffee before hand.
How to get there (Public Transport/Uber)
Trams: Any tram within CBD/Downtown area going in an East direction will get you to Spring Street. Literally any tram, no matter the number. They are all free for everyone.
Train: Any train doing the ‘city loop’ will go to ‘Parliament Station’. This is exactly where our pick up spot is.
Uber/Taxi: I would suggest putting in either the address ’74 Spring Street, East Melbourne’ OR ‘Hotel Windsor’, or ‘Parliament station’ as your destination. These are all the same essentially. Please allow an extra 20 minutes for Ubers to cancel on you a few times and to come to you in peak hour traffic.
DO NOT PUT INTO MAPS ’74 SPRING STREET EAST, PORT MELBOURNE’. This is a common mistake people make.
We use a bus that has 24 seats, however most days we purposefully do not full it up completely to ensure we still have that ‘small group intimate’ vibe. We often have anywhere from 10-20 people. When we are very busy, we often run multiple buses and communicate to you via text about which one you’d prefer to be on. Normally this means you’ll have a choice of a larger bus of 20 ppl, or a smaller van of 11-13 ppl.
You should however book and expect that you’ll be on our mini-bus with 20 people roughly.
We will almost always use our 2017 Mitsubishi Rosa with 24 passenger seats. We occasionally use our 2018 Toyota Coaster with 21 passenger seats.
If in a smaller vehicle, we use a range of Toyota Commuters (2005-2020) with 11-13 seats.
All of these vehicles are well air conditioned, heated, accredited and meticulously taken care of.
We do not have space for wheelchairs, prams, luggage or anything except just people!
On a case by case basis, we can potentially pick you up from a spot that means we don’t need to detour. If your out somewhere in the eastern suburbs, we tell you to meet us at 101 Maroondah Highway, Croydon AKA ‘Croydon Mcdonalds’ at 9:20am.
If in Lilydale/Yarra Valley, then 161 Main Street, Lillydale, AKA ‘BWS LILLYDALE’ at 9:35am.
We do not pick up from hotels or Airbnbs.
If you are staying at an airbnb/hotel within the Yarra Valley, you will need to meet us at the first winery, Yering Farm Wines, at 10am. Please contact us about any of these as a potential pick up spot.
We do not issue any refunds for ANY reason if your cancellation comes within 24 hours of the tour start (8:45am).
Although we empathise all sorts of things that can happen out of your control (sickness, family emergency, flights cancelled, Ubers late, trains not working), we cannot refund due to the seat essentially going to waste when someone else would have paid for it.
I guess that’s what travel insurance is for, if you’re on vacation.
We issue full refunds if the cancellation happens before 24 hours of the tour starting for any reason.
To keep it simple, we just need enough time to rebook you seat that you are cancelling and often 24 hours is not enough time, so we will not refund for ANY reason.
If you are going to be late on the day, we would recommend getting a taxi to the first venue to save yourself the money!
If you are cancelling, we do not allow any ‘rescheudling’ to another date for free. You will need to rebook the seat again for the new date at full price. That is where we can apply a small discount out of good will.
Had a great tour of tastings in the Yarra Valley - visited tthree wineries, two were included in the tour price with lunch and a tasting at the. Excellent St Hubert Quarters restaurant and tasting room (pay there in your own) plus a great included gin paddle tasting and a...
Not much of a wine drinker but had a lovely day on the tour. Some of the wines were quite to my liking. Our guide, Drew, was relaxed and easy, like an old friend; he made you very comfortable…even before the wine. The whole experience was delightful, warm and pleasant.
We had an amazing time on our Yarra Valley wine tour. The tour was catered to our individual preferences and our driver Alex was awesome! Would recommend to anyone, such a lovely day!!

OUR VIBE
- The Old boring driver
- No-one talking,No social vibe
- A wine guru taking themselves a little too seriously
- A tiny ,but very expensive meal
- No control of the music
- No drinking on the bus….
….but most of all.. we hated that we couldn’t change the itinerary to what we or the group wanted. There was no flexibility with the itinerary. We had no choice.……
Tour after Tour, Year after Year, we explored every corner of this region and have created an itinerary that is designed to give YOU the chance to make choices where you go. The beauty about the Yarra Valley is that everything is so close to each other! So we have planned this so we can even split the group up if we need to so that we can please everyone…From the wine connoisseurs, to the simple alcoholics, from the cider lover to the non-drinker.

Step 4The Day of Your Tour
Make your booking
When you make your booking directly on our website, we will have asked you to tell us your 4 ideal spots you’d like to visit on the tour. We always like to personalise the tour based on the group we have, so this is our way of understanding early what everyone wants. After we receive your booking or you’ve contacted us on info@teepeetours.com or 0423 237 833, we will have sent out an automatic email telling you of all the details; from where to be, what to bring, what the rough itinerary is planned to be and anything else we think you need to know.
Let us know of anything!
If there is a particular place you wanted to go, or a particular dietary requirement or concern you have, you’ll need to contact us via email or phone so that we know beforehand. Although our drivers are trained to accommodate any changes on the day, it does really help us to plan as best as possible. The automatic email invites you to reply with anything we should know or any place you want.
The Day Before
Normally within 24 hours of the tour starting, we will send you an email that will include your drivers details and phone number, and the itinerary that we have tentatively locked in. It invites you to make any last requests as well in case there has been some changes.
The Day of Your Tour
On the day of your tour, our professional and friendly staff will be there to pick you up from St Pauls Cathedral, Flinders Street at 8:50am and then drop you off at ACMI Museum (across the road from pick up sot) at 5pm . Our guides provide recommendations, plenty of banter and overall, make sure everything runs smoothly.
Frequently Asked Questions
I like the idea...but how does it work if people want different things from the day?
We really pride ourselves in trying to please everyone! It’s very common that we may have some that want one thing but the other half want the other..
Thats where our expertise of the area comes in. Almost every stop is very close to each other. Chocolate is across the road from wineries. Cider is across the road from beers. Big wineries…small wineries….They are all close! We even at times can seperate the group for one stop to please everyone! Its seriously not a hassle.
We have this down-pat!
That all said, we have a plan that is actually booked everyday and it is strcutured in a way to give everyone choices throughout the day. It it normally this…
8:40 Driver Arrives @ 74 SPRING STREET EAST MELBOURNE
8-40-8:55 Get everyone on the bus and ideally depart.
9:00 at the latest Depart
10:00 Wine and cider tasting @ Yering Farm Wines
11:00 Wine tasting @ Tokar Estate
-12:00 Lunch at your own expense @ St Huberts Estate, ‘Quarters’ restaurant where everyone orders and pays their own way. There is also an indigenous art museum here to explore and a cellar door to get a wine tasting for 10$ of you want. I’d allow 25-35$ for lunch.
-1:45 Four pillars Gin- Gin paddles on us OR wine tasting at a winery across the road. Will split group if need be.
-3pm Chocolate tasting @ Yarra Valley Chocolataire and Ice cream OR if time allows and driver has the ability to, we can split those who want to keep drinking at a winery (Yarrawood Estate) close by (not guaranteed)
-4pm (ish) Depart
-Anywhere between 4:50-5:10 Arrive back in Melbourne.
I have someone that doesn't drink... Can they get a discount?
Unfortunately with our public tour, every seat regardless of drinking is $130
Can kids come?
Absolutely! But we dont jhave child seats ourselves. You will either need to bring them or be OK with them sitting your lap. Unfortunately we do still need to charge. For children at an age where they can sit on your lap, we do not charge at all… However anyone between 3 and 18 will be charged IN FULL 130$. Every seat is charged the same. We can compensate by offering mocktails and extra things at each spot.
What's in a tasting?
A tasting normally involves a small amount of wine, perhaps a little bit more than what you would get in a shot of tequila. Generally at each vineyard, you receive 6-7 wines. This equates to one glass at each venue. You will also be invited to listen to the cellar doors wine experts to teach you about what flavours you might be able to taste and how the wine was made….However…if you don’t care too much about that, just smile and drink!
We have some Vegans...
Nobody’s perfect. But we can happily accomodate for all dietary requirements!
How many people come on the tour?
It depends…
We have 2 vehicles. One with 13 seats, one with 25 seats. We can never guarantee which vehicle is used and what the group size will be. If you ABSOLUTELY want a small 12 or less group, then we might not be for you anymore! Due to an increase in demand for us we have decided to take on a few more people each tour and get a bigger bus.
Either way, Our tours never exceed 18 people. When we are busy we may run both of these vehicles and split the group up into two groups, so if being in a small group is important to you, please let us know, but we can’t promise it!
Most of the time however, we are 15-18 ppl on one bus with 25 seats. We purposefully don’t fill the bus so people can have lots of space and so that the tour still has an intimate feel and ‘small group’ feel. We feel like we’ve perfected that group size. Anymore and it feels a little too big!
We require a minimum of 5 to run a tour otherwise it urns the risk of cancelling… Everyday for 18 months we have been fully booked so the likelihood of being cancelled is low!
Can I bring drinks? Can we drink on the bus?
Yes, you can! We don’t mind if you bring drinks on the bus, however we always encourage to buy some of the local wine too! It is important to note that you cannot BYO drinks to any wineries…including the picnic stop. There is wine to purchase there!
What should I bring?
We have an esky/cooler with ice and don’t mind if you bring your own drinks or snacks along. As long as its respectful!
What time and where do we meet and get dropped off?
We pick up at 8:45 at 74 SPRING STREET, EAST MELBOURNE .
This is across the road from ‘Hotel Windsor’ and on top of Parliament Train Station,
Any tram in the CBD/City area going in an easterly direction will take you there for free in less than 10 minutes.
Please allow an extra 20 minutes for traffic and ubers cancelling
Tee Pee Tours promises that you’ll have an unforgettable experience. Book your tour today and let’s make some memories together!
