Let’s make this the best day of your week!
‘Laid back, small-group Yarra Valley Winery Tour with Wine, Gin, Cider, Cheese + more’

With over 100 different wineries, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, cheese places, chocolate and cider places, We wanted to showcase all of what the Yarra Valley has to offer, whilst also creating a personal, laid back and social atmosphere. The easiest and most foolproof way is to put “HOTEL WINDSOR, EAST MELBOURNE” into Google Maps. Once you arrive, simply walk across the road to the same side as the statue, where there’s a bus bay for our buses to park. This spot is technically 74 SPRING STREET, EAST MELBOURNE right near Parliament Train Station. Below is a photo.
There’s a café here called Café Excello, where you can grab a coffee beforehand if you’re a little early.
How to get there
Trams: Any tram heading east from the CBD/Downtown will take you to Spring Street. Literally any tram — no matter the number — and best of all, trams are free within the CBD for everyone.
Train: Take any train on the city loop and get off at Parliament Station. This is exactly where our pick-up spot is.
Uber/Taxi: We recommend entering 74 Spring Street, East Melbourne, Hotel Windsor, or Parliament Station as your destination — they’re all essentially the same location.
Important:
Do NOT put “74 Spring Street East, Port Melbourne” into your maps — this is a common mistake!
We have a 24-seat bus but usually don’t fill it up to keep the group small and intimate. Most days, there are around 10 to 20 people.
When it’s busy, we run more than one bus and will text you to choose which one you want. You can choose a bigger bus with about 20 people or a smaller van with 11 to 13. Generally though, expect to be on the mini-bus with about 20 people.
We almost always use our 2017 Mitsubishi Rosa, which has 24 passenger seats. Sometimes we use our 2018 Toyota Coaster with 21 seats.
For smaller groups, we use Toyota Commuters (from 2005 to 2020) that seat 11 to 13 people.
All our vehicles are well air-conditioned, heated, fully accredited, and carefully maintained.
We do not have space for wheelchairs, prams, luggage or anything except people!
On a case-by-case basis, we might be able to pick you up from a spot that doesn’t require a detour.
If you’re in the eastern suburbs, we ask you to meet us at 101 Maroondah Highway, Croydon – Croydon McDonalds at 9:20am. You can park there all day if you’re driving.
If in Lilydale/Yarra Valley, then 161 Main Street, Lillydale, – ‘BWS LILLYDALE’ at 9:35am.
We do not pick up from hotels or Airbnbs.
If you are staying at an airbnb/hotel within the Yarra Valley, you will need to meet us at the first winery, Yering Farm Wines, at 10am. Please contact us about any of these as a potential pick up spot.
We do not issue refunds for any reason if you cancel within 24 hours of the tour start time (8:45am).
We understand things happen — sickness, family emergencies, cancelled flights, late Ubers, or trains not running — but because your seat can’t be resold at such short notice, we can’t offer a refund. That’s what travel insurance is for if you’re on holiday.
If you cancel more than 24 hours before the tour starts, we offer a full refund for any reason.
Why? We need enough time to rebook your seat. Usually, 24 hours isn’t enough notice, so NO refunds are given within this window.
If you’re running late on the day, we recommend catching a taxi directly to the first venue to avoid missing out.
We don’t allow free rescheduling for cancellations. If you want to book another date, you’ll need to purchase a new ticket at full price.
Had a great tour of tastings in the Yarra Valley - visited tthree wineries, two were included in the tour price with lunch and a tasting at the. Excellent St Hubert Quarters restaurant and tasting room (pay there in your own) plus a great included gin paddle tasting and a...
Not much of a wine drinker but had a lovely day on the tour. Some of the wines were quite to my liking. Our guide, Drew, was relaxed and easy, like an old friend; he made you very comfortable…even before the wine. The whole experience was delightful, warm and pleasant.
We had an amazing time on our Yarra Valley wine tour. The tour was catered to our individual preferences and our driver Alex was awesome! Would recommend to anyone, such a lovely day!!

OUR VIBE
- The unrelatable driver.
- No one talking, no social vibe.
- A wine guru taking themselves too seriously.
- A tiny, but expensive meal
- No control over the music.
- No drinking on the bus….
But worst of all?
No flexibility.
No opportunity to alter the day to suit what we – or the group – actually wanted.
So… we decided to change all that!
Tour after tour, year after year, we explored every corner of the Yarra Valley and created an itinerary that gives you the freedom to choose where you go. The beauty of the Yarra Valley is that everything is so close together — which means we can even split the group if needed, so everyone gets what they want.
From wine connoisseurs to casual drinkers, cider lovers to non-drinkers — there’s something for everyone.
On our tour, anything is possible.
Help us choose how you want the day to unfold!

Step 4The Day of Your Tour
Make your booking
When you book directly through our website, we’ll ask you to list your top four spots you’d love to visit on the tour. We personalise each tour based on the group, so this helps us get a feel early on for what everyone’s keen on.
Once your booking is confirmed — or if you’ve contacted us via info@teepeetours.com or 0423 237 833 — you’ll receive an automatic email with everything you need to know: where to meet, what to bring, a rough itinerary, and any other handy details.
Let us know of anything!
If there’s a specific place you’d like to visit, a dietary requirement, or anything else we should be aware of — please get in touch via email or phone before the tour. While our drivers are great at adjusting plans on the day, a heads-up helps us plan things better. You’re also welcome to reply directly to the automatic email with any requests or info we should know.
The Day Before
Within 24 hours of your tour, we’ll send you an email with your driver’s name, contact number, and the tentative itinerary we’ve planned. You’ll also have a chance to make any last-minute requests or updates — just in case anything’s changed.
The Day of Your Tour
On the day of your tour, our friendly and professional team will pick you up and drop you back at 74 Spring Street, East Melbourne — across the road from Hotel Windsor.
Our guides are there to keep things running smoothly, offer great recommendations, and of course, make it a memorable day!
Frequently Asked Questions
I like the idea...but how does it work if people want different things from the day?
We genuinely pride ourselves on making sure everyone has a great time. It’s super common to have half the group wanting one thing, and the other half wanting something else…
That’s where our local know-how kicks in. Almost everything in the Yarra Valley is close by — chocolate across the road from wineries, cider next to beer, big-name vineyards near boutique ones.
Sometimes, we even split the group for a stop or two just to keep everyone happy — and honestly, it’s no hassle. We’ve got this down-pat!
That said, we do have a base itinerary booked each day, structured to give you flexibility and options throughout. It usually looks like this…
8:40am – Driver arrives at74 Spring Street, East Melbourne
8:40 – 8:55am – Board the bus and ideally depart by 8:55am
9:00am (latest) – Depart
10:00am – Wine and cider tasting at Yering Farm Wines
11:00am – Wine tasting at Tokar Estate
12:00pm – Lunch at your own expense at St Huberts Estate, ‘Quarters’ restaurant.
Everyone orders and pays individually. There’s also an Indigenous art museum to explore and a cellar door offering tastings for $10 if you’re interested.
Budget around $25–35 for lunch.
1:45pm – Four Pillars Gin — gin paddles on us — or wine tasting at the winery across the road. We’ll split the group if needed.
3:00pm – Chocolate tasting at Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. If time and the driver allow, those who want to keep drinking can visit
Yarrawood Estatenearby (not guaranteed).
Around 4:00pm – Depart back to Melbourne
Between 4:50 – 5:10pm – Arrive back in Melbourne
I have someone that doesn't drink... Can they get a discount?
Unfortunately, on our public tours, every seat costs $130 – regardless of whether you’re drinking or not.
Can kids come?
Absolutely! However, we don’t provide child seats, so you’ll need to bring your own or be comfortable with your child sitting on your lap.
We still need to charge for all passengers. Children who are young enough to sit on your lap travel free of charge. But anyone aged between 3 and 18 will be charged the full $130 — every seat is the same price.
To make it special, we can offer mocktails and extra treats at each stop for younger guests.
What's in a tasting?
A tasting usually involves a small amount of wine — a little more than a shot of tequila, roughly. At each vineyard, you’ll try about 6–7 wines, which adds up to about one glass per venue.
You’ll also have the chance to hear from the cellar door’s wine experts, who’ll share what flavours to look out for and how the wine is made.
But if that’s not your thing, no worries – just smile and enjoy the drink!
We have some Vegans...
Nobody’s perfect. But we can happily accomodate for all dietary requirements!
How many people come on the tour?
It depends! We have two vehicles — one with 13 seats and one with 25. We can’t promise which you’ll get or the exact group size.
If you want a really small group (12 or less), we might not be the best fit anymore since demand means bigger groups and buses.
Usually, we have 15–18 people on the 25-seat bus, leaving plenty of space so it still feels chill and intimate. When it’s busy, we sometimes run both vehicles and split the group.
We need at least 5 people for a tour to go ahead, but we’ve been fully booked most days for the last 18 months, so cancellations are rare!
Can I bring drinks? Can we drink on the bus?
Yes, you can! Feel free to bring your own drinks on the bus, but we always encourage you to buy some local wine too.
Just a heads up — BYO drinks aren’t allowed at any of the wineries, including the picnic stop, but there’ll be plenty of wine available to purchase.
What should I bring?
We have an esky/cooler with ice and don’t mind if you bring your own drinks or snacks along. As long as its respectful!
What time and where do we meet and get dropped off?
We pick up at 8:45am at 74 Spring Street, East Melbourne — just across the road from the Hotel Windsor and above Parliament Train Station.
Any tram heading east through the CBD will get you there for free in under 10 minutes.
Please allow an extra 20 minutes for traffic or possible Uber cancellations.
Tee Pee Tours promises that you’ll have an unforgettable experience. Book your tour today and let’s make some memories together!
