Pricing breakdown based on how many ppl come

In short, The advertised prices are just a indicative price.
There are many factors that can dictate the cost, but the most important ones are;

– Are we renting the bus we use, or is it one we own that is available?

– Is it a weekend? Public holiday? Sunday? These kinds of days contribute to a more expensive day due to penalty rates we pay drivers and venues

– Are we going to certain venues that charge more?

– Most importantly, How many people are coming. As a general rule, the more people you bring, the cheaper this tour is for everyone.

Below is a rough breakdown of what the prices could be when taking into account the above…..

  • 2 ppl: 450-550$
  • 3 ppl: 390-440$
  • 4 ppl: 300-320$
  • 5 ppl: 250-280$
  • 6 ppl: 210-250$
  • 7 ppl: 185-225$
  • 8 ppl: 165-200$
  • 9 ppl: 150-180$
  • 10 ppl: 140-170$
  • 11 ppl: 135-160$
  • 12-13 ppl: 130-150$
  • 14-15 ppl: 140-170$ (Renting a bus for any more than 13 ppl, and with only JUST enough people to justify getting the bus, but not necessarily enough ppl to share the burden of cost, this is the most expensive range)
  • 16-24 ppl: 130-140$ (By the time you have 16, the prices go to the cheapest we can do)
  • 25-29 ppl: 175-200$ (Using a much larger coach, but this requires both a driver and a host to ensure the day runs smoothly. These coaches are far more expensive to source and therefore makes it more expensive if you ONLY JUST have enough ppl, like 25-29)
  • 30-35 ppl: 155-180$
  • 36-57 ppl: 130-150$

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Tee Pee Tours a leading provider of wine tours in Melbourne?

Tee Pee Tours offers more than just wine-tasting tour. We provide a personalised tasting experience by giving customers a choice of visiting vineyards, distilleries, and breweries and learning about the art of wine-making in Victoria. We put an emphasise on creating a social, relaxed and vibrant atmosphere so that this tour is the highlight memory of your time in Melbourne. You can customise your trip from location choice to the length of the tour and even the background music. Whether you are a wine connoisseur, an alcoholic that just want to get drunk or a non-drinker, Teepee Tours has mastered the art of making everyone happy.

Whats the difference between a public tour and a private tour?

Public and Privte are terms us tour operators use a lot, but you might not have a clue!
The daily public group tour that goes to the Yarra Valley (Public) is a fixed itinerary that is more or less the exact same everyday. It departs from the same place (HOTEL WINDSOR) everyday at 9am. The main difference between the two is that this public tour is a shared bus, meaning you will have others in the bus with you who you don’t know. You can expect anywhere from 20-23 people on the bus. The public tour is perfect for solo travellers, couples and small groups of 2-7 ppl.

A private tour is exactly that. Its where we have prearranged and discussed an itinerary JUST for you and your friends/colleagues/family. The bus is just for you. The plan is tailored for you. We pick you up from your location and take you back to wherever you want. There would be no sharing.
Generally a private tour is cost effective if you have 10 or more people.

I don't drink. Can I get a discount?

For private tours, we generally include a 35$ discount for non-drinkers, however with the public daily group tour to the Yarra valley, we give a small discount of 10$ which is reflected in the price difference between adults and children tickets.

What is the vibe and feel of Teepee Tours?

If you are looking for a social, fun and relaxed day out with a younger group with a mix of solo travellers, couples and small groups of friends from all over the world, then this is for you!

We create a very social atmosphere with good energy without becoming messy. Our guides want to get to know everyone deeply throughout the day, unlike other companies that simply drive a bus.

We are the perfect balance of a social and fun tour for the younger types, but also for the older ones with a young heart, who don’t take themselves too seriously. For us, this is a PEOPLE business, NOT. a wine business!

How can I use a wine tasting tour in Melbourne as a unique way to entertain guests?

At Tee Pee Tours, we offer corporate wine tours, making for an unforgettable day filled with tastings and walkthroughs of different world-renowned wine regions. This experience can serve as an opportunity to entertain clients and reward employees while enjoying the picturesque locations of Victoria.

What is the itinerary of the Daily Public group tour to the Yarra Valley?

We have a very polished and perfectly structured itinerary that is tried and tested over 12 years. The below itinerary is designed to give you choices through the day. This is achieved by choosing venues that are very close to other types of venues. This means we will split the group up so everyone gets what they want. This is the breakdown of the itinerary

8:40 Meet at 74 Spring street, East Melbourne
9am Depart
10am Wine and cider tasting @ Yering Farm Wines
11am Wine tasting @ Tokar Estate
12pm Choice of lunch venue between Huberts Estate or Domaine Chandon. Either way this lunch is at your pwn expense so you can be in control as to what you spend.
1:45 Choice of a gin and tonic tasting flight at FOUR PILLARS GIN, or a wine tasting at Payten and Jones or a beer tasting at Watts River brewery. All 3 of these venues are next to each other so we can easily split the group on the day, therefore providing the most flexible and customer-service focused experience.
2:45 Chocolate tasting @ The Yarra Valley Chocolateries where you’ll try 12 different chocolates. However if you don’t want chocolate we will go above and beyond by driving you to Yarrawood Estate where you can buy yourself a drink to end the day with panoramic views.
3:45 Start heading back
5pm Back at Parliament Station (same as pick up).

If you let us know before the tour of anywhere specifically you want to go to, then you can reach out and we’d be happy to assist.

All tastings included. Lunch is the only thing at your expense.

With all that said, there is no other company as flexible, focused, polished, reviewed, as customer service driven and as reliable and consistent as Teepee Tours.

How do I check reviews for Yarra Valley wine tours?

We have over 12000 reviews across several platforms! See some of the most recent ones here. We were also most recently awarded Tripadvisors #1 experience in all of Australia and the 3rd best food and beverage tour in all of the entire WORLD!

Do you offer half day tours to the Yarra Valley? Or any other region?

Only for private tours! If you are organising a private tour we can do just about anything for you. However the daily public tour to the Yarra Valley is quite firm on times. It starts at 9am and returns at 5pm.

Do you do any different pick ups besides CBD?

Yes we do.

If we are talking about our Daily Public tour to the Yarra Valley, then you can either meet us at the first venue: Yering Farm Wines at 10am, or at CROYDON MCDONALD’S at 101 Maroondah Highway Croydon at about 9:20am. You need to contact us about this though.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes! Spots fill up about a week in advance. Weekends are without a doubt busier than weekdays and generally need a good week ahead to book. In peak periods of November through to January you may even need to book two weeks in advance.

Are your wine tours in Victoria educational and entertaining?

At Tee Pee Tours, we believe a good wine tour is about more than just sipping the finest of drinks. So the tours are 100% entertaining!
Our guides are also fully informed and qualified to educate and answer questions about anything wine or history related or region specific. SO yes, its educational.
We have created a perfectly structured itinerary thats designed to give everyone choice through the day.

What exclusive facilities do you offer during your guided wine tasting tours in Melbourne?

Our guests enjoy facilities such as complimentary tastings and special discounts at select wineries throughout Melbourne and other regions in Victoria. To make the journey comfortable and stylish, we pay attention to the smallest details.

We have an itinerary that enables every customer to have choices through the day. We don’t mind to drive you that extra 10 minutes up the road to get you what you want, even if we split you from the group.

How can I book a wine tour with Tee Pee Tours?

It’s simple to book a wine tour with us. You can either call 0423 237 833 or fill out our online contact form detailing your requirements. We’ll respond with an itinerary for your preferences and confirm your booking to create an unforgettable wine-tasting tour. You can also book by clicking here:
